Product Review: NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine

Rise and shine! Happy {Makeup} Monday, y'all!

Today I'm reviewing  NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine. I received my lip gloss in "Nude York City" earlier this month in my Holiday VoxBox {complimentary from Influenster for testing and review purposes}, and it's been my go-to gloss for the past few weeks.

.:NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine, $2.49 at chain retail stores:.

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of NYC New York Color's line. It's so inexpensive, ranging from $.99 to $4.99, yet still rivals the quality and innovation of higher-end brands that charge more than $12 for one tube. The Liquid Lipshine goes on smooth with subtle hints of glitter and shine and tastes pretty good (Ultimate lip gloss pet peeve? When lip glosses taste like chemicals).

I work in the epitome of a professional environment, so my everyday lip gloss//lipstick//makeup tints must be flattering yet subtle. Hence, I adore the "Nude York City" tint, which is more of a semi-sparkly nude hue (as the title suggests), although this product comes in a variety of other energetic colors, like Fashion Avenue Fuchsia and Brighton Beach Peach. The applicator is flexible and durable; however, the tip feels more like a cotton ball than a brush, which is my only real criticism of this product. But for $2.49, I still feel like it's one of the most well manufactured lip shine products on the market. I even requested to use it during my last photoshoot near Dr. Phillips :)

.:Loving the  beachy//subtle vibe of  the "Nude York City" tint:.

For more of NYC's products and for useful tips and tricks from their top makeup artists, visit the official New York Color website here. If you have any questions for me, I'd be more than happy to answer them.

Oh, and random side note: I joined the Be My Valentine Blog Gift Swap, hosted by Meg at The Megnificent Life. It's such a sweet opportunity to meet and greet fellow bloggers, exchange some of your beauty "favorites," and have a little something extra to enjoy on Valentine's Day. I also joined the A Crafter's Dream Valentine's Giveaway, where I'll be giving away a February-themed Scentsy burner, so be on the outlook for that in the next few weeks!

.:Join the Be My Valentine Blog Gift Swap if you're interested in getting a little social this Valentine's Day!:.

Alright, into work I {attempt to} go! I'm feeling better, so thank you for all the well wishes and prayers. It'll be a long recovery process, as I'm still regaining my body strength, particularly in the mornings. I'm getting there, and I appreciate all your kind words more than you know! Have a wonderful Monday, loves!

    1. Me too, Brooke! I'm so excited to send you your stuff! And you really should try it out; it's too cheap to not give it a go at least once. I like the more subtle colors, like the one I wrote about, but they have a lot of bright fun tints, too. Talk to you soon, and have a wonderful week :)

  11. I would love to have an everyday lip gloss. I remember the days before the twins when I wouldn't walk to the store without eyeliner and lip gloss. smh. Stopping by from SITS.

    1. Thanks! It's seriously one of my favorite glosses. The color is amazingly subtle, but there's still enough to show that I'm wearing a pretty-colored gloss.
